MILL HALL — The Keystone Central Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the students of Keystone Central School District through special projects, mini-grants, and scholarships. Last year when it kicked-off its new Friends of the Foundation Giving Society, no one who knows Ron and Jo Ann Bowes were surprised when they immediately stepped up with a significant contribution of $15,000.
Ron and Jo Ann understand the value and impact of a well-rounded public education. They have provided continued support to the foundation — whether it’s sponsoring their annual golf tournament, nominating deserving alumni for the Hall of Fame or volunteering at events. Ron and his classmates were instrumental in raising money for Malinak Stadium, and more recently, a dedication plaque for the venue.
“With Ron’s experience as a public school teacher, coach and KCF Board Member, he has always understood our goals and what we are trying to achieve through our work as a foundation,” commented Melissa Bottorf, Executive Director of the Foundation.
The Friends of the Foundation Giving Society was created to honor donors who contribute more than $200 per year to the Keystone Central Foundation. Contributions are used to fund scholarships, special projects throughout the district such as the Keystone Scholars Program, and faculty mini-grants.
