Keystone Central Foundation Scholarship Applications
The Keystone Central Foundation awards over $60,000 in scholarships to graduates of Central Mountain and Bucktail High Schools. Seniors are encouraged to view Schoology and check with their guidance counselors to complete a common application for many of our scholarships. However, separate applications are required for some scholarships. Please see below.


The Lock Haven High School Class of 1974 Scholarship
The LHHS Class of 1974 Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Central Mountain High School or Bucktail High School who will be attending a 2-year or 4-year college, trade school, certification program or institution of higher education.
Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and demonstrate financial need. The applicant must also demonstrate moral character through extracurricular, co-curricular, and/or community involvement.

The T. Marshall Hopkins Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Language Studies
This scholarship has been created to honor T. Marshall Hopkins, who enthusiastically shared his love of the German language and culture with generations of Lock Haven High School students. This scholarship honors students who have demonstrated excellence in language studies and has a passion for language and cultural exchange. This scholarship is open to Central Mountain High School seniors who plan to further their education.

The Cody Myers Legacy Scholarship
The Cody Myers Legacy Scholarship seeks to inspire and support Keystone Central School District seniors who are dedicated to leading with integrity and mentoring others.
This scholarship will be awarded to seniors who demonstrate strong leadership skills. Preference will be given to students who are enrolled in ROTC at a college/university OR are enlisting in any branch of the military.

The Mike Flanagan Scholarship
This scholarship has been created to honor Mike Flanagan’s legacy as a community leader. He made a lasting impact on all those who met him - whether it was at a local sporting event, volunteering, or providing leadership to our local businesses.
This scholarship aims to support students at Central Mountain High School who embody the same spirit of service, leadership, and dedication to the community. Applicants must have participated on a Central Mountain football or basketball team this school year.

The Jess Long Family Scholarship
In honor of Mr. Jess Long, a dedicated high school teacher at Bald – Eagle Nittany who inspired countless students to strive for excellence, the Jess Long Family Scholarship for Academic Excellence is established to recognize and support students who exemplify the same commitment to learning, perseverance, and personal growth that Mr. Long instilled in his classroom.
Mr. Long was not only an educator but also a mentor and a guiding force in the lives of his students. His unwavering belief in their potential encouraged them to push beyond their limits, embrace challenges, and pursue their dreams with passion and determination. This scholarship aims to honor his legacy by providing financial assistance to students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership qualities, and a strong desire to make a positive impact in their communities.

The Ron Dailey Memorial Scholarship
Please help Dailey’s family & friends remember his beautiful soul, his unwavering bravery, and selflessness through this new scholarship.

The Kristin M. Hayes Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship has been established by the classmates of Kristen M. Hayes. Kristen’s life was one of passion from her time on the soccer field in high school and throughout her life. She was known for her love of family, animals, and protecting the rights of vulnerable communities. The Hope S. Mitchell Scholarship
The Hope S. Mitchell Scholarship Fund was established by Clinton County Children & Youth and the Clinton County Housing Authority to honor the memory of their friend and colleague Hope Mitchell. This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior of Clinton County who, like Hope, demonstrates kindness, love, and a deep willingness to take care of the people in our community. The Connie L. Weaver Student Scholarship
This scholarship was established in memory of Connie by her late husband, Charles Weaver. Applicant must be a graduating senior from CMHS who is in the top 25% of the class and plans to attend a trade school AND/OR is a member of a local shooting team. Deadline: April 15, 2026 View Application
The Sugar Valley Concerned Citizens Inc. Student Award
This award will be based on volunteerism in the community.
To be considered for this award, you must be a graduating senior who resides in the 17747 zip code and is enrolled in the Keystone Central School District, KCSD Virtual Academy or a Cyber/Charter School OTHER THAN the Sugar Valley Rural Charter School.

The CMHS Clay Target League Award
This scholarship has been established by the Gunsallus Family to recognize a graduating senior who has participated on the CMHS Clay Target Team for at least two years. Deadline: April 15, 2026 View Application
The Jeffry Ardell Schlesinger Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship has been established by family and friends in memory of Jeffry Ardell Schlesinger. He was a 2004 graduate of Central Mountain High School and was a member of FBLA and other business-related clubs and activities at CMHS. According to those that knew and loved Jeffy, he was the biggest teddy bear and had the kindest heart. He was always looking out for any person he came across. Jeffy was an out-of-the box thinker with a love for anything business, technology, and gaming. His spirit and passion for business will live on through the recipients of this scholarship. The Jeff Gummo CCAC Scholarship for the Arts
The Jeff Gummo CCAC Scholarship for the Arts is available to any graduating senior who is eligible to attend Keystone Central School District. The recipient must be accepted at an institution of higher education majoring in field of study that aligns with the mission of the Clinton County Arts Council. The Jeff Gummo CCAC Sponsorship for the Uptown Music Collective
The Jeff Gummo CCAC Sponsorship is available to any student ages 8 - 17 who lives in Clinton County and has been accepted at the Uptown Music Collective. Students should apply at the Uptown Music Collective website and mention this sponsorship for consideration. Deadline: April 15, 2026

The Riley Elizabeth Houser Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship has been established by family and friends in memory of Riley Elizabeth Houser. She was a 2021 graduate of Central Mountain High School and was an integral part of the CMHS Lady Wildcat Softball Team. The Ronald and Anna Mapstone Scholarship is a unique opportunity for a Central Mountain High School student who, if given the opportunity, could make their dreams come true by receiving a two- or four-year college education. Deadline: April 15, 2026 This scholarship is by referral only.
The Leonard G. Young III Memorial Award

The Jack and Polly Hetrick Random Acts of Kindness Award
A student may be nominated by anyone in the community or school. To nominate someone you feel is a worthy recipient of this award, please submit your name, the student’s name, how you are acquainted with this student and a handwritten commentary describing the random act of kindness (or kindnesses) you have observed or are aware of.
