KCF Scholarships
Annually, the Keystone Central Foundation manages and awards over 80 scholarships to graduating seniors throughout the district. We work with families to establish the criteria of the scholarship and give donors the flexibility to be involved with the process as much or as little as they prefer.
Please reach out to Melissa Bottorf, Executive Director at keystonecentralfoundation@gmail.com or 570-660-1306 to learn how easy it is to create a scholarship.
Donor-Advised Scholarships
Initial investments for a new donor-advised scholarship will be a minimum of $1,000 and must be established by December 31st prior to the presentation of the award. Each annual award must be a minimum of $200. All new and existing scholarships are subject to a 5% administrative and management fee.
The Ronald & Anna Mapstone Scholarship
Jeff and Linda Mapstone, both KCSD alumni, wanted to give back to their alma mater and honor Jeff's parents, Ronald and Anna.

The Mapstone's understand the unique challenges first-generation college students can face. Therefore, with the Ronald & Anna Mapstone Scholarship, recipients are paired with a local mentor and provided with up-front money to help cover the cost of educational supplies. Once the student graduates from a 2 or 4 year school, they are eligible for loan reimbursement through the scholarship.

The Leonard Young III Memorial Scholarship
When Lenny Young III was killed in a automobile accident at the age of only 19, his parents wanted to do something to keep his memory alive.

Lenny was an advancing sportsman and involved with YHEC. After his tragic death, his parents began the Lenny Young III Annual Clay Shoot held at the Southern Clinton County Sportsmen's Association.

Each year the event draws over 100 participants. The money raised from the event is then awarded in scholarships to Central Mountain YHEC graduating seniors.
