Elizabeth Barnhart

About Elizabeth:

I am currently the Director of Special Education at KCSD. I have previous experience as a special education supervisor, and a special education teacher. I attended LHU as a non-traditional student and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and a Master's Degree in Alternative Education. I continued my journey as a life-long learner and obtained a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University. I previously worked for the Wellsboro Area School District and the Williamsport Area School District. I served on the Williamsport Area Education Foundation Board for three years while employed in the district.

Why do you serve on the Keystone Central Foundation Board of Directors?

As the mother of three grown sons who were very active in sports, I served on a number of boards including; Jersey Shore Pop Warner Association, and the Jersey Shore YMCA. I have spent numerous years as a school volunteer and a PTO member. Besides, philanthropy just feels good!

What do you love most about the Keystone Central Foundation and/or KCSD?

The KCF Board is an excellent source for our community and teachers to collaborate with the district while supporting educational and extra curricular activities for KCSD students.
